College of Agriculture, Jabalpur

The College was inaugurated by the first Chief Minister Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla on 20th July 1955 under the affiliation of Sagar University, Sagar with its academic activities in the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Jabalpur. Pt. Shreekant Mishra (1955- 1957) was the first Principal of the College. The College was started with an intake capacity of 64 students in 1st year B.Sc. (Ag). On October 22, 1956, College was shifted to one of the hostel buildings near village Adhartal with residential facilities of 94 students in another hostel. In 1956, after the establishment of the State of MP, 22 students of 3rd year B.Sc. (Ag) degree program were transferred from the College of Agriculture, Nagpur. In 1957, the College of Agriculture, Jabalpur got affiliated with Jabalpur University, Jabalpur.  On 18th December 1957, the then Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Dr. Kailash Nath Katju laid the foundation stone of the present building of the College. At present the accredited College offers Accredited BSc (Hons) Agriculture and BSc. (Hons) Forestry, along with Master degree in 14 and Doctorate in 13 Departments. The College is known for research on soybean, chickpea, fodder, wheat, rice, soil physics, economics etc. City Jabalpur is well connects by road, rail and air from important cities.

College of Agriculture, Rewa

In Vindhya Pradesh, higher education on agriculture was started in 1952 as two-year Intermediate program in agriculture by shifting of Agriculture Institute from Laxmipur Panna to Rewa. The foundation stone of the building of the Intermediate program that was converted into College of Agriculture, Rewa was laid down by the then Home Minister Government of India Shri Kailash Nath Katju on 21st October 1952 with a total sanctioned outlay of Rs 95000/-. Initiative taken by Shri Ramesh Chandra Sharma, the first Principal of the Intermediate College as the devotion of volunteered physical labour of staff and students completed the construction in Rs. 88500/ only in the year 1954. College of Agriculture, Rewa was started in the same building in the year 1955 with a Bachelor degree program administratively linked with Darbar College, Rewa under Agra University, Agra.  It was affiliated with Sagur University Sagar from 1962 to 1964 and finally with JNKVV, Jabalpur. Rewa is situated at the latitude of 24° 30 N, longitude of 80°15 E, 306.06 m above from sea level on Kymore Plateau and Satpura Hills agro-climatic zone of Madhya Pradesh. District Rewa is well connected with all the cities of the state and nation by road and train. It is a major centre for research on upland rice, small millets, mango, horticultural crops and seed production. At present B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture and Master Degree in various subjects are offer by the College.

College of Agricultural Engineering, Jabalpur

The College of Agricultural Engineering was established in the year 1966 under the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur (M.P.). The campus is situated at JNKVV headquarters Adhartal, Jabalpur on the National Highway-7. It is situated in agro climatic zone IV known as Kymore Plateau and Satpura Hills.

College of Agriculture, Tikamgarh

The College was established in the year 2004-05 vide letter No. B-4/22/04/14-2 dated: 20 February 2004. The foundation stone of the college was laid down on 21st February 2004. The College was also started in the available infrastructure of the Zonal Agricultural Research Station with the admission from the academic year 2004-05. It was shifted to a new building in the year 2012. About 200 acre land was transferred from Seed Corporation Government of MP to establish the College. The College offers BSc (Hons) Agriculture degree with intake capacity of 102 students. It also offers Master degree in few subjects of agriculture. The College has facility of girls and boys hostel. The College is known for research on sesame, other crops and seed production. Tikamgarh is well connected by road and rail services.

College of Agriculture, Ganj Basoda

College of Agriculture, Ganj Basoda established in the year 2004 at Tahsil Ganj Badoa district Vidisha by transferring of 118.488 ha land present in three locations by the order No B-4/4/06/14-2, dated 23 September 2006. The accredited College shoulders the responsibility to provide accredited BSc (Hons) Agriculture degree. The first batch consisting of 46 students was admitted in the year 2007-2008. The College has facilities of girls and boys hostels. With the optimum strength of teachers, the college is actively participated in the field of extension, research and seed production. The administrative building is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. College has started basic research on wheat, soybean and chickpea as these are the most important crops of the district. The College of Agriculture, Waraseoni was established on 15th September 2012  at 4 km away from Waraseoni towards Lalbarra on Regional Agriculture Research Station (RARS) in the district Balaghat an establishment of 1917-18. RARS popularly known as Murjhad Farm is geographically at 301.5M altitude, 80°50’E Longitude and 21°45’N Latitude. The foundation stone of the College was laid down on 23.01.2014 by H’able Chief guest Shri Nitin Gadkari. The accredited college offers accredited degree of BSc ((Hons) Agriculture. The College was established in the academic session 2016-17 under the jurisdiction of JNKVV, Jabalpur at RARS, Powarkheda of the District Narmadapuram by order No. B-4-20/14-2 dated 28.4.2016 with a total outlay of Rs. 116.23 crores, allotment of 50 ha land of ZARS, Powarkheda and 48 technical posts. The College was started in the administrative building and labs of ZARS and shifted to the building consisting of temporary classroom facilities inaugurated on September 20, 2018. The Agricultural Research Farm, Powarkheda is an establishment of the year 1903 known for wheat research in central India. The accredited college offers accredited B.Sc. The College of   Agriculture, Panna came into existence on 17 February, 2023 at old building of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Village Laxmipur under the jurisdiction of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishva Vidyalaya, Jabalpur. The foundation of the new College building was laid down on 22 May,   2023 by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The College offers BSc (Hons) Agriculture degree program with the intake capacity of 75. The city is connected with road. Satna and Khajurahoo are the railway station located nearby.
