Swachhata Campaign 2025 at DES, JNKVV, Jabalpur

The Department of Extension Education (DES) at Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (JNKVV), Jabalpur actively participated in the Swachhata Campaign 2025, aligning with the national mission of promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability.

The campaign was conducted by involving faculty members, research scholars, postgraduate students, and staff. The activities carried out during the campaign included:

  • Campus Cleanliness Drive: The surroundings of the department, classrooms, and common areas were thoroughly cleaned and beautified.

  • Awareness Activities: Lectures and interactive sessions were held to emphasize the importance of cleanliness in personal, community, and environmental health.

  • Plastic-Free Campus Initiative: Awareness was created about reducing the use of single-use plastics, with students encouraged to adopt sustainable alternatives.

  • Tree Plantation: Saplings were planted within the departmental premises to promote green cover and environmental consciousness.

  • Waste Segregation and Management: Demonstrations on waste segregation, composting, and proper disposal techniques were conducted.

The event was marked by enthusiastic participation and a collective resolve to maintain cleanliness as a continuous practice rather than a one-time event.
