Department of Extension Education, Jabalpur came into existence with the establishment of the Government College of Agriculture, Jabalpur in July 1955. M.Sc. (Ag.) in Extension Education was started during the year 1958 at Jabalpur, in 1966 at Rewa, and 2011-12 at Tikamgarh. The Doctorate degree program was started in the year 1984 under Advance Centre for Extension Education at Jabalpur.
